Google’s Allo was officially announced last year, and after a year of waiting, the company has launched the web client “Allow for Web” back in August which was just supported on Chrome. Today, the company has finally announced that Allo application can now be used with Firefox and Opera web browsers.
Amit Fulay, Head of Product for Google Allo and Duo on Twitter has mentioned that Allo for Web on Firefox and Opera would work the same way it did on Chrome. Users can access the Allo for web client just by opening up the Allo app on your phone and then selecting the Allo for web option from the menu. Which then will prompt to scan a QR code displayed on the computer through your smartphone, and once you are done scanning, you can start using Allo for Web right away.
Fulay has also said that iOS users can also use the Allo for Web as well and the process is similar to that of Android. Just scan the QR code, and you are good to go. Though Google has delayed the web client for Allo, the company is finally bringing out all the necessary features and gradually expanding.
