Nokia 8 was introduced back in August and was launched in India on September 26th. While the Initial variant was shipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, now a new model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is available in Finland, after some rumors. Rest of the specifications remain the same, except for the RAM and storage.
To remind you, the Nokia 8 sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) LCD display at 554ppi pixel density, sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 700 nits brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-Core processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Nokia 8 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but HMD global has promised to roll out Android O update before the end of this year.
It features a 13-megapixel primary camera that is an RGB sensor with OIS and another 13-megapixel Monochrome Carl ZEISS optics with 1.12um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, 76.9-degree wide-angle lens, PDAF, IR range finder, and dual tone flash. While the front camera is a 13-megapixel autofocus shooter with ZEISS optics, PDAF, 1.12um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, 78.4˚ lens. The Nokia 8 also features a Fingerprint sensor, a Barometer and is Splash proof rated at IP54.
The Nokia 8 also has support for Nokia OZO 360° spatial surround sound. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (MIMO), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1, and NFC. A 3090 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support is on board.
The Nokia 8 6GB RAM variant comes in Polished Blue color and is available via DNA and Verkkokauppa at a price of €649.99 (US$ 769 / Rs. 49760 approx.). It will go on for sale starting from 19th October.
