OnePlus 3 and 3T latest OxygenOS beta update brings improvements and bug fixes


OnePlus finally rolled out the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones in the previous Open Beta update. Now it has released new Oreo-based open betas (Beta 17 for OnePlus 3T and Beta 26 for OnePlus 3) that brings back the Feedback app, improvements to WiFi, data connectivity, NFC, stability of Picture in Picture along with several bug fixes.

OnePlus also says that there might be some issues like slower fingerprint actions and optimizations for third-party apps.  Check out the complete changelog below.

  • User Feedback app is back
    • You can continue sending bug reports via the app again

  • Improved Wifi and Data connectivity
  • Improved the performance of NFC
  • Improved stability of Picture in Picture
    • Apps that are supported by PiP are less likely to cause a reboot
  • Reduced likelihood of device heating up in certain circumstances
  • Fixed issue of missing voicemail tab in dialer
    • Sorry about that.. :oops:
  • Other general bug fixes
    • This includes things like the Notification dot issue, ambient display issues, random reboots, available storage calibration, and many other smaller issues.

The update is 180MB in size for the 3 and 3T and these still have September Android Security update. If you’ve already flashed a previous Open Beta build, you will receive this update via OTA. If you haven’t, you will need to flash this manually by downloading it from downloads.oneplus.net.
