MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for Redmi Note 4, Mi Max 2 and more to roll out starting November 3

Xiaomi introduced the MIUI 9 back in July and it the Global Beta ROM was released starting 27th July. Today at the Redmi Y1 launch event the company has finally announced that the MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM will be available for its phones starting from tomorrow, November 3rd.

Xiaomi MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM roll out details

  • From tomorrow, November 3 – Redmi Note 4 (Qualcomm) / Redmi Note 4X and Mi Max 2
  • From mid-November – Mi MIX 2, Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi 4X, Mi 5 and Mi Max
  • From Early December – All the other phones including Mi Mix, Mi 2 and later, Mi Note and later, Redmi Note 4G and later, Redmi 2 and later

You can check out the complete list of MIUI 9 supported devices here. Xiaomi said that the roll out will happen in batches so it might take time to roll out for all the phones. You can also download the ROM manually from MIUI site here.

MIUI 9 brings 21 animated icons, specialized customizations for India such as IRCTC Cards in messaging app, 8 new calendar cards in Mi Calendar app to subscribe to and a new festival card, new Theme and more. Check out the highlights below.
