Amid the smartphones including Apple iPhones, Samsung Galaxy S/Note series, OnePlus broke the stereotypes and proved that there is no reason why smartphones should cost more. This strategy obviously helped the company to take over the likes of Samsung and also managed to grab the biggest piece of the premium smartphone market online share in India.
Basking in the success of OnePlus 5 smartphone, the Chinese upstart OnePlus is all set to launch its bigger and revamped version of the device under the name — OnePlus 5T.
In order to make it bigger and better, the company is holding an event in Brooklyn, New York on November 16 to introduce its flagship device. Since OnePlus has a big fan following in India, the company has made special arrangement for them to watch the launch live at selected PVR Theatres across 5 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. However, to attend the event, fans need to book the tickets for Rs. 99 exclusively on Bookmyshow, starting 8th Nov from 10 AM onwards.
Even though it’s still early to say and a lot could change during the launch, we, with our educated guess have jotted down the rumored features of the upcoming OnePlus 5T.
Keeping up with the trend, the upcoming OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 18:9 Optic AMOLED display. This would make the display occupy more space with the bare minimum bezel on top and bottom. Considering bigger screen to body ratio, the fingerprint will be moved to the rear side of the device.
When it comes to the internals, the OnePlus 5T is expected to have more or less the same including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform. If the information circulating around the Internet turns out to be true, the yet-to-be-launched OnePlus 5T will come in two variants as its predecessor — 6GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage.
In fact, the company has also confirmed that the 3.5mm audio jack has been retained in 5T. The OnePlus co-Founders Pete Lau and Carl Pei shared photos on their social blogging website, emphasizing the new improved camera as well. As per the leaked report, the OnePlus 5T is expected to come with an improved 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual rear cameras, 20MP front camera and a bigger battery.
The OnePlus 5T will be available starting November 21 in North America and Europe and the early bird flash sale will also begin in India on Amazon.in on the same date, while the official sale in India will begin November 28. You can check out more details about the event at oneplusstore.in.
