Google releases final Android 8.1 Developer Preview 2 for Pixel and Nexus devices

Google released first Android 8.1 (Oreo) Developer Preview for Pixel and Nexus devices last month . Today it has released the final Android 8.1 Developer Preview 2 for the devices. The first update brought a set of targeted enhancements including optimizations for Android Go and new Neural Networks API to accelerate on-device machine intelligence, the latest one includes official APIs (API level 27), the latest optimizations and bug fixes, and the November 2017 security patch updates.

It also enables Pixel Visual Core — Google’s first custom-designed co-processor for image processing and ML — through a new developer option. Once enabled, apps using Android Camera API can capture HDR+ shots through Pixel Visual Core.
