Samsung Galaxy S9+ with Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM surfaces in benchmark, Dual rear cameras revealed in case render

Samsung is expected to introduce its flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones at the MWC 2018 in February. Now the Galaxy S9+ with the model number SM-G965U has surfaced on Geekbench listing that confirms Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB RAM and Android 8.0 (Oreo) as revealed earlier. Renders from case maker Olixar has revealed the design of both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.

The Geekbench listing show 2422 points as single-core score and whopping 8351 points in multi-core score.

Coming to the case renders, the renders for the Galaxy S9+ shows dual rear cameras on the back and a single rear camera for the Galaxy S9 as rumored earlier.

These also confirm fingerprint sensor placement below the camera so that it will be easier to access, however the heart rate sensor is still next to the camera based on the render, even though earlier render showed it placed between the camera and the fingerprint sensor.

According to earlier rumors, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will feature a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch curved-edge Super AMOLED Infinity displays, respectively similar to the predecessors. These are said to be powered by Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9 Series 9810 SoC depending on the region, pack 64GB of internal storage with microSD slot and come with 3.5mm headphone jack as well as AKG stereo speakers.

We should know more details about the phones in the coming weeks as we get closer to the launch date.
