Dell and Alienware jointly have introduced the 15 and 17 gaming laptops and they are powered up to Intel Core i9 processor with up to 6-cores, with overclocking up to 5.0GHZ for the first time ever on Alienware laptops. On the other hand, Dell also launched the G-series affordable gaming laptops which includes G3 15, 17 and Dell G5 15, G7 15.
Dell has updated it’s Alienware 15 and 17 laptops and they are available in variants ranging from 8th Gen Intel Core i5, i7, to the latest i9 processors with up to 6-cores, enabling overclocking up to 5.0GHZ. The company says that it has mechanically engineered the Alienware Cryo-Tech v2.0, which is its cooling system with 50% thinner fan blades, a vapor chamber on the CPU to cool down the higher number of cores more efficiently.
It also gets support for external desktop graphics via the Alienware Graphics Amplifier, optional 120Hz TN+WVA 400-nits display designed with Nvidia Gsync. It comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, 1070, and 1080 graphics or an AMD Radeon RX570 with 8GB DDR5 GPU options.
The Dell G-series laptops include G3 15, 17 and Dell G5 15, G7 15. These are affordable gaming laptops and come with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series GPUs, 8th Gen Intel Core processors, thermal management solutions, intelligent content prioritization software, anti-glare IPS panels. As the name suggests, the G3 15 and 17 sport a 15 and 17-inch displays.
They are powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 CPUs, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 up to 1060 Max-Q discrete GPUs and dual fans and dual drives with SSD options. Dell claims that the G3 15 is its thinnest laptop to date. The laptops come with SmartByte software that prioritizes gaming and video content keeping them smooth, even during large file downloads.
Lastly, the Dell G5 15 and G7 15; and they come with up to 8th generation Intel Core i7 on the G5 and Core i9 on the G7 and Nvidia GTX 1060 GPUs with Max-Q. They also come with up to 6GB GDDR5 dedicated memory and dual drives with SSD options. The Dell G7 comes with UHD display (3840×2160).
Pricing and availability:
- The Alienware 15 is now available Dell.com and is priced at $2,400 (Rs. 1,56,160 approx). While the additional configurations starting $1,450 (Rs.94,400 approx.) will be available from April 10 in US, China, and Europe.
- The Alienware 17 is also available on Dell.com and it costs $3,700 (Rs.2,40,740 approx.). The additional configurations starting $1600 (Rs.1,04,152 approx.) will be available from April 10 in US, China, and Europe.
- Dell G3 15 and 17 will be available from April 16th globally on Dell.com starting today at $749.99 (Rs. 48,820 approx.) and $1,099.99 (Rs. 71,604 approx.)
- Dell G5 15 will also be available from April 16th starting at $949.99 (Rs. 61,820 approx.)
- Dell G7 15 is now available on Dell.com starting today at $1,099.99 (Rs. 71,581 approx.).
