Instagram now lets you share feed posts directly to stories

Instagram Stories

Instagram is now rolling out the ability to share feed posts directly to stories, after testing it earlier this year. This makes it easier to share a post that you come across your feed directly to stories for your friends and followers to see.

To share the feed posts directly to stories, tap on the paper airplane button below the post, just as you would do to send it via Direct. On tapping, you will see options to create a story. Instagram will now let you see the feed post as a sticker with a customized background ready to share to your story. You can rotate, scale and move the sticker and explore other options before sharing.

Instagram says that the all posts shared to stories will have the original poster’s username and you can also see the original post who created it when you look at a post in someone’s story. It also lets you share posts from public accounts, and if you don’t want your posts shared to stories by other people, you can easily opt out in settings. These updates are available to Android and will be coming to iOS soon.
