ASUS at the Computex 2018 in Taiwan announced VivoWatch BP (HC-A04), the company’s latest smartwatch with built-in ECG and PPG sensors. It also provides real-time blood pressure measurements in 15 seconds. It features ASUS HealthAI technology to help users keep track of their blood pressure and health stats – such as heart rate, sleep quality, activity data, and de-stress index –- while also providing suggestions for a better lifestyle. It can also track heart rate, sleep quality and fitness/activity.
The company says that it is built with medical-grade materials, and is 70% smaller and 50% lighter than current wrist-mounted blood pressure monitors. It promises battery life of 28 days under “normal” usage, which is more than double compared to its VivoWatch.
It has a color LCD display with power-efficient microcontroller unit (MCU) and high-reflective display.It also has IP67 ratings for dust water resistance. It comes with GPS tracking that lets you share location with family members, and is also useful for running and other activities without relying on your phone.
The VivoWatch BP comes in Black, Gray, Green, Blue, Maroon colors, is priced $169 (Rs. 11,350 approx.) and will be available first in Asia starting from Taiwan by end of July, with Europe following in August.
