Along with the Honor Play and the new Honor 9i smartphones, the company also introduced new Clear Headphones, which is the world’s first headphones to feature sensors for real-time heart-rate detection. It also trains you to relax by analysing your stress level by heart rate variability (HRV) algorithm and provides feedback. It it is certified for Hi-Res audio playback.
The real-time heart rate detection is done using the optical heart rate monitor located on the right earbud. The company says that heart rate monitoring should work with Huawei and Honor smartphones as well as any Android smartphone with the Huawei Health app. The heart rate index which is developed with the institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences to quickly access the users’ psychological stress level and output the corresponding heart rate index.
The earbuds are made of soft, skin-friendly material offering all-day comfort, and it comes with ear fins and eartips in three different sizes. It has a MEMS microphone and in-line music and volume controls.
The Honor Clear Headphones will be available only in White color, is priced at 129 yuan (US$ 20 / Rs. 1350 approx.) and will be available from June 7th in China.
