Google today has launched the low-code application development environment tool for building apps. It is an easy to build a custom environment that speeds up workflows and makes processes better. Google also says that App Maker is flexible enough to be as useful to large companies as it is to schools and universities. It is also available for all G Suite for Education, Business and Enterprise customers.
App Maker is specially designed and targeted at businesses who create internal tools and custom apps for specific workflows and processes that are dedicated to their core product. It can create a highly optimized app by dictating the terms exactly the way businesses needed them. This also helps those with little to no coding experience in building their own line-of-business apps. These applications can be based on data that is already stored in G Suite, Google’s Cloud SQL database or any other database that supports JDBC.
As for prototyping the deployment, Google handles backend infrastructure, including servers, uptime, and security. The company is adding new features Open, Fast, Connected, Managed, these features will be useful in database connectivity. Once the database is connectivity done, the actual is pretty easy and thanks to the responsive templates, the final application will work on a phone or desktop regardless. Developers will also have access to Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, and other data sources as well.
Google’s App Maker is out of preview, and the company will start adding more functionality to the service.
