As we inch closer to the launch of new iPhones in the coming weeks, speculation surrounding the launch is already catching. According to a new research from BlueFin Research, Apple might discontinue the iPhone SE and iPhone X this year as focus shifts towards the “iPhone 9, iPhone 11, and iPhone 11 Plus.

Furthermore, BlueFin analysts predict that this year’s iPhones might have huge-demand considering the lack of upgrade activity over the past few years. Apple will likely order to manufacture 91 million units of its new 2018 iPhones during the latter two quarters of this year. Furthermore, it will ramp up the 91 million and go for another 92 million units for the first two quarters of 2019.

As for shipments, analysts expect a 20 million, 60 million, 45 million and 40 million over the four quarters once the sales start. The iPhone 11 Plus will be the best seller who found the iPhone X too small and the iPhone 9 will carter price-sensitive markets. Apple will also keep the iPhone 8 and it will stick around at the lower-end of the market. This isn’t the first time we heard that Apple might discontinue the iPhone X, so, we advice you take the news with a pinch of salt.

The Report says that:

The iPhone 11 Plus should satisfy those unhappy with the iPhone X due to size concerns, while the iPhone 9 device should satisfy more budget-conscious buyers and the aforementioned extension of the iPhone 8 model builds will round out a fairly extensive line-up. We continue to hear that upgrade activity over the past.

The iPhone X would presumably be discontinued in Q3 of this year, and the cheaper “iPhone SE” would also go away.
