Facebook today reported financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2018. The company has reported a total revenue of $13,231 million with a 42% growth compared to the $9,321 million from the same time last year. Facebook’s advertisement reported a $13,038 million from the entire revenue.
Total Daily active users (DAU) were around 1.47 billion on average for June 2018, and this is an increase of 11% year-over-year. As for the Monthly active users (MAUs), the company has a total of 2.23 billion users as of June 30, 2018, an increase of 11% year-over-year. Facebook’s mobile advertising revenue represented approximately 91% of advertising revenue for the second quarter of 2018. This is up from approximately 87% of advertising revenue from the second quarter of 2017.
The capital expenditures for the second quarter of 2018 were $3.46 billion, while the Cash and cash equivalents and marketable securities were $42.31 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2018. of the $13,231 million total revenue, the total costs and expenses were around $7,368 million leaving the operating margin to around 44%.
