HTC U12 Life with 6-inch Full HD+ display, Snapdragon 636, dual-rear cameras surface

HTC is seemingly working on a mid-range smartphone codenamed “Imagine Life,” according to the marketing material. Though we don’t know for sure but based on the specs and the codename, the new handset could be the HTC U12 Life and it is said to sport a 6-inch FHD+ display and Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset.

The U12 Life is said to pack a 6-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Octa-Core processor, coupled with 4GB RAM. 64GB internal storage, though we can’t completely rule out the possibility of the bigger variant with more storage and RAM, at this point, we don’t have information regarding it. In terms of optics, the phone is said to pack a dual-rear camera setup with 16+5MP shooters with phase detection autofocus, and 4K video.

On the front, is a 13MP front-facing camera with flash and beauty mode. The HTC’s upcoming phone will pack a 3,600mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. Connectivity features include Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC and we’re not sure about the Android version it will run on. The HTC U11 Life was introduced back in November last year running Oreo, so we wouldn’t surprised if we see the launch of the successor coming out in Q4 2018.

The specs of the phone are in line with the Nokia X6, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro that is priced around the $250 price tag. We’re pretty sure HTC wouldn’t be pricing the U12 Life that competitively seeing the U11 Life starting at $349 for the base model.
