Asus Zephyrus S, ROG Strix SCAR II, TUF gaming laptops, ROG Swift PG65UQ and PG27UQ 4K HDR gaming monitors announced

The ASUS Republic of Gamers at the Gamescom today announced three gaming graphics cards; the ROG Strix, ASUS Dual and ASUS Turbo versions of the brand-new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 GPUs. It also introduced the Zephyrus S, ROG Strix SCAR II, and ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 and FX705 gaming laptops.

Furthermore, the company is also introducing range of new products including the ROG Swift PG65UQ and PG27UQ 4K HDR gaming monitors, ROG Ryujin and Ryuo AIO CPU coolers, ROG Thor 1200W Platinum power supply, ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 tri-band 802.11ax router, ROG Delta gaming headset, ROG Gladius II Wireless gaming mouse, and ROG Balteus Qi wireless charging gaming mouse pad.

The company announced that it has also collaborated with seven major game-title publishers; Koch Media/Deep Silver, Activision, Bethesda, Kalypso, THQ Nordic, and 1C Company to display over 3000 ASUS and ROG products at Gamescom. The products include 800 Powered-by-ASUS PCs built by BoostBox with ROG Strix or ASUS TUF Gaming motherboards and over 2500 ROG products, including motherboards, graphics cards, monitors, routers, laptops, desktops, and peripherals.

The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 feature the new Turing architecture cool with brand-new Axial-tech fans. The size of the fan hub has been reduced to allow for longer blades, and a barrier ring increases structural integrity and downward air pressure through the Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 heatsink array. The company says that the Strix graphics cards are produced using Auto-Extreme Technology.

The latest Strix cards adopt a 2.7-slot footprint to accommodate a larger heatsink. The overall surface area of the cooling array is 20% larger for the Strix cards compared to previous-generation designs. The four new gaming laptops include Zephyrus S, Strix SCAR II, and ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 and FX705. Zephyrus S features an even slimmer design than Zephyrus M, super-narrow bezels, and is powered by the Intel Core i7-8750H CPU and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with Max-Q Design GPU.

Strix SCAR II sports a 17.3-inch display with a width less than 40cm and an ultrafast super-narrow-bezel display that delivers a 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. FX505 and FX705 are the first 15- and 17-inch TUF Gaming laptops to come with NanoEdge FHD IPS-level displays. The ROG Strix, ASUS Dual and ASUS Turbo versions of GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and 2080 GPUs.
