Huawei’s Honor brand along with the global launch of the Honor Play, teased the upcoming Honor Magic 2 smartphone, successor of the Honor Magic which was introduced back in 2016. The successor will feature a full-screen display with ultra narrow bezels. For this, the company has adopted a slide-out design, which it calls Magic Slide full screen with high screen-to-body ratio.
It will be powered by Kirin 980 AI chip, which will be officially introduced by Huawei at its IFA keynote tomorrow. It is expected to based on TSMC’s 7nm manufacturing process that promises to improves processor speed by approximately 20% and consumes approximately 40% less power compared to its 10nm counterpart.
It will support 40W safe super fast charge with 15 layers of safety protection and auto identification of 3 critical parts. The company will reveal more details and the official announcement date of the Honor Magic 2 soon.
