Paytm today announced it is launching Spam-proof ‘SMS Inbox’ which will be a part of its widely popular Paytm Inbox. It uses the proprietary Machine Learning algorithms to classify SMS into Personal, Transactional & Promotional categories, offering a clutter-free experience.
This SMS categorization is done locally on the device by the app only after the user gives the consent to avail this service. Once activated, the app lets users know about the various classifications of the SMS categories. They can also choose to delete one or several threads, re-classify SMS and mark SMS as read/unread.
The Machine Learning engine remembers user’s inputs and updates to detect the pattern and enhance the user experience. If you remember, Paytm recently added Live TV, News, Cricket, Entertainment Videos and Games within the Inbox.
