Xiaomi has finally announced that the Mi MIX 3, the company’s flagship smartphone in the MIX series will be introduced at an event in Beijing on October 25th. Xiaomi President Lin Bin already posted a photo of the smartphone, revealing the slide-out design.
The phone will likely include 3D face unlock that was introduced in the Mi 8, large FHD+ AMOLED display with screen-to-body ratio of over 90%, Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB, and similar AI dual rear cameras as the Mi 8. It is not clear if the phone will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, but there might be a special edition with the feature, like the Mi 8 Explorer Edition.
The company already hinted at the 5G support for the phone when it posted photo revealing the Mi MIX 3 using various bands for the 5G connectivity. Now the company has confirmed that it will be the first commercial smartphone with 5G connectivity. It also said that it is more than just a sliding full screen. The company has also hinted at support for up to 10GB RAM. We will know more details when the phone gets certified by TENAA in the coming weeks.
