LG might have lost a lot of market share in the smartphone segment but that’s not stopping them from innovating. They launched the Optimus GT540 which was a pretty decent Android phone at an attractive price point . Back in September the company announced the Optimus Chic and One which come with the latest version of Android – FroYo 2.2 . That seems to have done a lot of good to the company as it announced that it has sold over 1 million Optimus One handsets since launch in USA, Europe and Asia. That’s a great feat for the Korean handset maker and we present you a Photo Gallery of the LG Optimus One aka P500.
The main reason for the early success of this handset is value for money it offers. It’s one of the few mid-range handsets which come with Android 2.2 onboard. The build quality is good enough although its plastic.
Beneath the display you have backlit keys for menu , home , back and search.
3 MP Camera on the Back without a Flash or Camera key.
Volume rocker on the right
nothing on the left.
3.5mm audio jack , power/ lock button.
microUSB slot and mic in the bottom.
Android UI with LG Skin
We were really impressed by the battery life of this device
LG has slightly customized the UI and added some Widgets which are fine in our opinion.
The browser is absolutely fast thanks to the latest version of Android.
There is also a nice bookmarks widget with thumbnail images of the website.
And we are hearing the LG might launch this handset in India as soon as this week with a 13K price tag !
Hope you enjoyed the pics.
