T-Mobile says that the download speeds they offer are on par or faster than competitors and offers the service in 80 metropolitan areas around USA . The company plans to expand it’s 4G network which uses HSPA+ technology to reach 200 million users this year.  It plans to offer 42Mbps speeds in 2011. There is a lot of debate about which technology offers the best performance. You might have heard of WiMax which is the 4G standard used by Sprint and also LTE which is used by AT&T.Currently there are only 2 4G devices offered by T-Mobile and we can expect some new devices soon.
