There is a fresh news of the Blackberry Playbook price from MobilityInsider who claims that there will be 3 different models of the Playbook and that the base model with 8GB capacity will cost only $399
The Playbook might come in 3 variants
- 8GB: $399
- 16GB: $499
- 32GB: $599
Apart from the memory , the features of the PlayBook are the same. There is no 3G or Wireless Broadband access . You would have to rely on your tethered Blackberry or a WiFi hotspot for internet access. We expected the Playbook to cost lesser than the iPad which retails for $499 (base model) and RIM might have a winner here if they sold the playbook for $399 without a contract !
