Airtel has announced initiatives to offer a digital Kumbh Mela 2019 experience to its customers. This includes Dedicated Kiosks at the Mela to offer Virtual Reality experience to visiting devotees, Dedicated channel on Airtel TV app to stream Kumbh Mela 2019 proceedings for those unable to visit the Kumbh and deployment of pre-5G Massive MIMO network technology at the venue to offer seamless high speed network experience.
- Stream the Kumbh proceedings – including important Snans and Aartis – on the Airtel TV app till March 4, 2019 in partnership with VR Devotee
- VR DEVOTEE special kiosks at the venue (in Prayagraj) for Virtual Reality based immersive experience to visitors
- State-of-the-art Massive MIMO technology at the venue to massively enhance its network capacity by five to seven times over the same spectrum and helps a large number of concurrent users to enjoy a seamless high speed data experience. Additionally, temporary sites and small cell sites are deployed at the venue
