Samsung Galaxy Sport with Bixby reminders, brand new design surfaces in renders

Samsung’s Unpacked event is right around the corner, and naturally, more and more leaks started surfacing the internet. While the flagship S10 is quite obvious, the company has also been working on the next Galaxy Sport watch which might be announced alongside the flagship. In-line with the previous render, the new leak showcases the Galaxy Gear Successor in three color variants; black, teal blue and pink gold.

The Galaxy Sport has been in the news for quite some time and carried the codename ‘Pulse’ when it was spotted on the certification websites earlier this year. Though it is believed that Samsung would be adding an ECG feature to rival Apple Watch Series 4, the feature looks to be missing as the render only shows beats per minute from the standard heart rate monitor.

Another design change would be the removal of the rotating bezel which was a key design element of the Gear Watch. Tizen OS will be controlled by the two recessed side buttons on the watches metal case. This also suggests that we will see some updates to the Tizen OS to bring in more integration with the new controls. The new Galaxy Sport said to feature the Bixby Reminders, pack 4GB of storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and also support mobile payments via NFC.

Features wise, the Galaxy Sport looks good, but the design is where significant changes come into the picture. Either way, we should know more details in the next few days.
