Gmail was launched on April 1, 2004, and the company is celebrating its 15th anniversary today. As a part of its 15th year anniversary, Gmail is adding new features to its existing mail platform.
Smart Compose:
Smart Compose was launched recently by Gmail which is an AI-powered feature that helped to compose emails faster. The Smart Compose has seen some changes and Gmail has included support for more languages like Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. It is also bringing personalized suggestions and Smart Compose will suggest just that. It can also suggest a subject line based on the email that has been written. The feature was previously available only for Pixel 3 devices on Android and now it will be made available to all Android devices. The support for iOS will be added soon, according to Google.
Email Scheduling:
The next feature that is added by Gmail as a part of the 15th anniversary is Email Scheduling. Email Scheduling lets one schedule email to be sent at a more appropriate date or time in order to avoid interrupting someone’s time zones or vacation.
Take action without leaving Gmail:
One can also respond to a comment thread in Google Docs, browse hotel recommendations and more, directly within emails and get things done without opening a new tab or app.
