Xiaomi launched first quad camera phone Redmi Note 6 Pro in India back in November running MIUI 10 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and last month it started recruiting Beta testers for testing Android Pie based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for various devices including Redmi Note 6 Pro. The company started rolling out Android 9.0 (Pie) based MIUI Global Beta ROM back in March.
Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 9.0 (Pie) based MIUI Global Stable ROM to Redmi Note 6 Pro users. As per posts on Mi Community, MIUI 10.3.3.0.PEKMIXM is being rolled out, the update is around 1.7 GB in size as it brings Android 9.0 (Pie) along with May security patch to the device. It also brings system-wide Dark Mode and new charging animation.
If you haven’t received the update on your device, you can download the Recovery ROM here and flash it using the recovery method.
Apart from Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi 6 Pro are also expected to receive the Android 9.0 (Pie) based MIUI Global Stable update in coming months. The company has already announced that Android pie based MIUI Global Stable ROM for Redmi Y2/S2 will be released around June. Check out the changelog below,
