2019 iPhone XR with dual rear cameras surface in renders

It is the time of the year when a lot of leaks and rumors about the upcoming iPhones circulate on the web. Recently, there were leaks regarding a new antenna technology for iPhone, triple rear cameras on iPhones, a smaller iPhone and more. In similar lines, today, a new report suggests that the 2019 iPhone XR will sport dual rear cameras housed in a square bump.

The latest render of the upcoming iPhone XR reveals an addition of a vertical dual-lens camera setup with LED flash housed in a large square bump. It is expected to measure 150.9 x 76.1 x 7.8mm, with the thickest point being the camera bump at 8.5mm. There might not be a change in the size of the notch of the 2019 iPhone XR, and we might see the same notch that was present on the 2018 iPhone XR.

The upcoming iPhone XR is expected to be powered by the latest Apple A13 SoC from TMSC who is Apple’s chip supplier. Apple is also expected to include a new flood illuminator to improve Face ID and make changes to the front-facing TrueDepth Camera System.

Apart from this, the reports also suggest that next-generation iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max models might sport triple rear cameras housed in a large square bump, similar to the upcoming iPhone XR. The front-facing camera is said to be upgraded to 12MP from 7MP that was seen in the 2018 models.

Apple is expected to launch the new iPhones in September, and we should know more details in the coming months.
