Google launched its augmented reality headset, Google Glass Enterprise Edition in July 2017 and a new edition with Snapdragon 710, integrated LTE modem surfaced recently. Today, Google has officially launched the Glass Enterprise Edition 2 with a more powerful multi-core CPU, improved camera performance and quality.
The Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 platform which comes with a new artificial intelligence engine and a more powerful multi-core CPU. This Glass also comes with improved camera performance and quality compared to the previous generation and also for the first time, Google has added USB Type-C port on the Glass Enterprise Edition 2. It also has support for fast charging and said to have improved battery life.
As this Glass is built on Android, users can easily integrate the services and API they already use and it also supports Android Enterprise Mobile Device Management. Additionally, Google has partnered with Smith Optics to make Glass-compatible safety frames for different types of demanding work environments, like manufacturing floors and maintenance facilities.
Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is priced at US $999 (Rs. 69,660 approx.) and is not directly sold to consumers. It is sold to Enterprise businesses and interested people can get this by contacting the company’s sales team starting today.
