Facebook-owned Instagram got new features in recent updates including a redesigned camera, new stickers, new design to Explore tab and more. Now, new reports have emerged suggesting that Instagram is working on adding new features to Instagram Story.
According to a new report from Jane Manchun Wong, Instagram is said to be working on sharing a link to one’s own Instagram Story. Instagram is said to be testing two new options-‘Share Link’ and ‘Copy Link’ to Instagram Story.
Until now, users could only share their Instagram Story with their friends on Instagram. With the upcoming ‘Share Link’ feature, users will be able to share their Instagram Story’s direct link to other users who are not on Instagram too. Additionally, users can copy the generated link of their Instagram Story and share it outside Instagram too.
Recently, in a new update, Instagram introduced a new design to the Explore tab and also added Stories to the Explore tab. The Explore tab came with a newly designed navigation bar, which featured shortcuts to IGTV and Shopping followed by topic channels tailored to their interests, such as Food, Art and Travel.
The ‘Share Link’ feature is said to be only in internal testing and there is no information on when this feature will be rolled out to users worldwide.
