Amazon launched Kindle Oasis with dedicated page turn buttons back in 2016 and launched the 2nd generation Kindle Oasis last year. Expanding the lineup, today, the company has launched the 3rd generation Kindle Oasis in India with 7-inch display, adjustable color temperature for night reading and more.
The all-new Kindle Oasis comes with a 7-inch, 300ppi, glare-free display. It uses the latest e-ink technology and comes with dedicated page turn buttons for faster page turns. It has dimensions of 159 x 141 x 3.4-8.3 mm and weighs 194 g. This new Kindle comes in two storage variants i.e., 8GB and 32GB and users get free cloud storage for all Amazon content. The connectivity options include WiFi 802.11n and supports formats like Kindle Format 8 (AZW3), Kindle (AZW), TXT, PDF and more. There is also a 4G version.
The highlighting feature of the new Kindle Oasis is the color adjustable front light, a first for an Amazon e-reader lineup. With this new feature, it automatically adjusts the brightness of your screen based on lighting conditions and users can customize the color tone from cool to warm to easily transition from daytime to a comfortable nighttime reading experience. Users can even schedule the screen warmth to update automatically with sunrise and sunset.
The new Kindle Oasis is also IPX8 rated to protect against immersion in up to two meters of fresh water for up to 60 minutes. Apart from this, users can adjust the text size and boldness and read with Kindle-exclusive fonts for maximum readability.
Pricing and Availability
The new Kindle Oasis is priced at Rs. 21,999 for the 8GB Graphite version, Rs. 24,999 for the 32GB WiFi Champagne Gold version and the 32 GB WiFi + 4G Graphite version costs Rs. 28999. It will be available from August 19 and is available for pre-order today at Amazon India.
