Update: July 22, 2019: Vivo has officially sent out invite for the launch of new ‘S series’ phone in India on August 7th. Even though the invite doesn’t confirm the name, commercial featuring Sara Ali Khan confirms it is the Vivo S1 that is launching next month.
Earlier: Earlier this week, Vivo introduced its new S1 smartphone in the ‘S series’ in Indonesia and it is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P65 chipset. Now, Vivo has officially teased the launch of a new ‘S Series’ smartphone in India and is expected to launch soon.
The official teaser by Vivo says ‘All new S Series Coming Soon’ and it is most likely to be the Vivo S1 smartphone. It is a new series by Vivo, and we can expect more smartphones to be added to the lineup soon. There is no mention on the launch date yet, but it could launch next month in India.
To recall, Vivo S1 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with about 90% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio P65 12nm SoC with 4GB of RAM, sports a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture+ 8MP ultra wide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, as well as a 32MP front-facing camera. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, the 2.5 curved back has a nano-ion coating technique, includes a combination of colors and effects upon reflection of light reflection. It has a dedicated Smart Button, 4500mAh battery with support for Vivo’s Dual Engine fast charging.
In other news, the company has also introduced Y7S in China and it has almost similar specifications as the S1, except for the change in front camera resolution and the bump in RAM.
