Apple releases iOS 12.4 with wireless data migration, improvements to Apple News+; watchOS 5.3 brings back Walkie-Talkie app

Apple released iOS 12.3 update recently where the main focus was on the new TV app and the channels feature. After 2 months of releasing iOS 12.3, Apple has now released iOS 12.4, watchOS 5.3 and macOS 10.14.6 with bug fixes and new features.

iOS 12.4 update brings improvements to Apple News+, security fix for Walkie-Talkie app, new wireless data migration function and more. The new iPhone migration function allows users to directly transfer data from an old iPhone to a new iPhone wirelessly. Secondly, Apple News+ has got enhancements and now with this update, it adds all publications including newspapers to the catalog at the top of the News+ feed and includes other enhancements too.

Alongside iOS 12.4, Apple has also released watchOS 5.3 which includes a security fix for the Walkie-Talkie app on Apple Watch and re-enables Walkie-Talkie functionality. To recall, Apple disabled Walkie-Talkie app on the Apple Watch citing a vulnerability which could allow the feature to be used to eavesdrop on others. The update also brings ECG support and irregular heart rhythm notifications to Apple Watch Series 4 users in Canada and Singapore.

Lastly, Apple has also released macOS 10.14.6 and it is a maintenance update which fixes bugs and includes security fixes.
