Xiaomi’s Redmi brand already confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in China on August 29th. It also confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 will be powered by MediaTek Helio G90T SoC, Liquid cooling, support for gamepad and other accessories and improved camera performance with 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. Now it has revealed more details about the smartphone.
The company has confirmed 3D glass back curved on the four sides. It also shows Ice Jade color version. Another image shows the White version of the phone. The company today posted a new video that shows a weight lifting champion standing on the Note 8 Pro and lifting 90kg weight. After that the phone doesn’t show any damage to the screen.
Few days back the company confirmed that this is the first phone to support Germany’s TÜV Rheinland High Performance Network Connection. The company has partnered with MediaTek for chip-level network optimization that intelligently predicts the network environment. Under the 4G network, with the support of MediaTek HyperEngine, the dual-link service in 4G network is acheived; in the WiFi 5G/2.4G dual WiFi concurrency and WiFi/LTE dual concurrency is achieved.
For example, if you connect the phone to a public WiFi in a mall, online gaming will not be smooth since WiFi signal is weak or congested. During such occasions WiFi/LTE dual concurrent service is enabled, when the system senses that the WiFi network is not good, it will automatically perform concurrent compensation through the 4G network. The two networks complement each other to ensure stable high-speed network and reduce network delay. The company has also demoed this in a video showing that this is better than the HONOR 9X Pro powered by Kirin 810 SoC.
It has also confirmed 4500mAh battery for the phone, 3.5mm audio jack and Speaker grill on the bottom. This should come with 18W fast charging support and USB Type-C, similar to the predecessor.
It has also confirmed that it will introduce a new RedmiBook 14 model with 10th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 13% better than the previous generation. The one that was introduced back in May is powered by 8th gen Intel core processors. It should also come with more memory and storage options.
We should know all the details when the products go official later this week.
