Lenovo has today launched two new products in the smart home solutions in India — the Lenovo Smart Clock and Lenovo Smart Display. Lenovo Smart Clock comes with an IPS touch screen, voice control, Google Assistant support etc and the Smart Display also comes with support for Google Assistant. It was first unveiled at CES 2019.
Lenovo Smart Clock
Lenovo Smart Clock is a digital clock which also comes with a 4-inch IPS touch screen along with support for Google Assistant. It relies on touch and voice controls and features a full fabric soft-touch cover. The touch screen doubles up as a Google Assistant home screen and the display shows information like time, alarms, upcoming meetings, calendar events, weather information, album information and more.
It comes with a full-size USB port for convenient charging, a full-range 6W speaker and two passive radiators tuned with Dolby’s latest background noise reduction technology. It also works with Chromecast.
Lenovo Smart Display
Lenovo Smart Display, on the other hand, sports a 10-inch IPS FULL HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels along with 86-degree wide-angle rotating view. It is powered by Qualcomm Home Hub Platform based on a 14nm Snapdragon 624 Octa-Core processor and comes with 2GB RAM. It features dual 10W Full Range Speaker along with dual Passive Tweeters. The I/O buttons on the Smart Display include 1 x Microphone-Mute, 1 x Camera Shutter, 1 x Volume +/-.
There is a 5MP wide-angle camera for HD video calls and also supports 2 x 2 WiFi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth. It also comes with Google Assistant and users can get things done with the voice assistant, YouTube, Google Maps etc. The Smart Display measures 173.87 mm x 311.37 mm and measures 1.2 kg.
Pricing and Availability
Lenovo Smart Clock is priced at Rs. 5999 and Lenovo Smart Display is priced at Rs. 14,999. Both devices will be available at Lenovo.com, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital & Lenovo stores from early September 2019 and users can register for ‘Notify-me’ on Flipkart, starting August 28th 2019.
