Xiaomi Redmi 7A gets MIUI 10.2.7.0 with Portrait Mode and AI Scene Detection


Xiaomi launched the Redmi 7Asmartphone in India back in July running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0. The smartphone packs a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by Snapdragon 439, and has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 rear camera sensor. During the launch, the company announced that Redmi 7A will offer portrait mode and AI scene detection and promised to roll out the features with future OTA updates.

As per an official post on Mi Community, Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 10.2.7.0.PCMINXM for the smartphone. The update brings July 2019 security patch to the device along with portrait mode for both front and rear cameras, and AI scene detection. With AI scene detection, Redmi 7A can now identify 33 scene categories including 6 India specific categories. You can download the recovery ROM from here and flash it manually, if you don’t have the update yet.

The Redmi 7A comes in Matte Blue, Matte Gold and Matte Black colors, is priced at Rs. 5999 for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version and the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version costs Rs. 6199. It is available on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
