The Mi A3 has a 6.08-inch (1560 x 720 pixels) HD+ 19.5:9 aspect ratio
Super AMOLED display with 102.7% NTSC color gamut. The display is bright and offers good colors, but the content is not crisp compared to the FHD+ screen compared to other smartphones in the same price segment, since the pixel density is just 282 PPI. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is easy to hold for single-handed usage, but slippery at the same time.
The phone has a Dot Notch display, and the notch houses a 32-megapixel camera. The usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors are present on the bezel along with the notification LED in the top left corner, which glows only in white color.
Even though the phone has on-screen buttons and support for gestures, there is a small bezel below the screen, which is smaller than the A2, but it is slightly bigger than some smartphones in the range. The display also features a 7th generation in-display fingerprint scanner same as the Redmi K20 series. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm SoC with up to 6GB LPPDR4X RAM and has up to 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage.
The power button and the volume rockers are present on the right side, Hybrid SIM slot is present on the left that accepts two nano SIM cards or a nano SIM and a microSD card up to 256GB.
On the top there is a secondary microphone, 3.5mm audio jack and an Infrared sensor. On the bottom there is a speaker grill, USB Type-C Port and the primary microphone.
The phone has a 3D glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. You can see the Xiaomi and Android One branding on the back.
The phone has triple rear cameras that include a 48MP primary rear camera with 1/2.0″ Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.79 aperture, LED flash, EIS, 8MP 118° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture and 2MP depth sensor with 1.75μm pixel size and f/2.4 aperture. There is a considerable camera bump due to the large sensor, and the company said that the camera glass also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection to prevent scratches.
The More than White variant reflects light and shifts its color offering rainbow kind of pattern at certain angles. Under the hood there is a 4030mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging using a 18W fast charger, even though it comes with 10W charger in the box. The company also provides a clear case inside the box which does a good job protecting the phone and covers camera bump as well.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 comes also comes in More Than White and Kind of Grey colors, starts at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and is available on Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores.
