After several beta updates, Google has finally started rolling out Android 10 stable update for Pixel smartphones. Essential has also started rolling out the update for the Essential Phone. Those who have signed up for beta program have started getting OTA updates. Google is also pushing sources to Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
Android 10 has a central focus on privacy and security, with almost 50 features that give users greater protection, transparency, and control. It expands users’ digital wellbeing controls, supports new technologies like Foldables and 5G, adds system-wide dark theme, Smart Reply in notifications, fully gesture navigation mode, single tap Live Caption, Dynamic depth for photos, Audio playback capture, New open source video codec AV1, supports audio encoding using Opus, HDR10+ for high dynamic range video, Improved peer-to-peer and internet connectivity, new encryption mode called Adiantum and more.
