Samsung launches AKG Y100, Y500, N200 and N700NC M2 wireless earphones and headphones in India starting at Rs. 6699


Recently, AKG truly wireless earbuds, AKG Y400, and AKG Y600 surfaced through Samsung Smart Things app. AKG which is now a Samsung brand has today announced the launch of four new wireless earphones and headphones in India – AKG Y100, Y500, N200 and N700NC M2.

AKG Y100

AKG Y100 is a neckband type earphone and comes with a 9.2mm driver unit, a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz, and an impedance of 16 ohms. It features Ambient Aware technology that allows users to let in surrounding ambient sound by activating the Ambient Aware Mode. The connectivity options and other features include Bluetooth 4.2 with AAC codec support and have support for  HFP V1.7, A2DP V1.3, AVRCP V1.5 Bluetooth profiles, 3-button universal mic/remote for hands-free calling multi-point connectivity and magnetic buds. There is a 120mAh battery on this earphone that takes 2 hours to charge and promises to deliver an 8-hour battery life. It comes in Black, Blue, Green, Pink colour options.

AKG Y500

AKG Y500 is a wireless headphone with a soft-touch headband and memory foam ear cups and aluminium highlights. It comes with a 40mm driver unit, a frequency response of 16Hz-22kHz, and an impedance of 32 ohms. It also features Ambient Aware technology and this headphone has Volume and Sound controls on the ear-cups. Other features include Play & Pause automation, AAC codec support, and a detachable cable with 1-button universal mic/remote for hands-free calling. There is a 900mAh battery on this earphone that takes 2.5 hours to charge and promises to deliver a 33-hour battery life. It also comes in Black, Blue, Green, Pink colour options.

AKG N200

AKG N200 is a wireless earphone with an in-ear fit and has a fabric cable, exquisite metal housing and patterned accents. It comes with an 8.6 mm driver unit, a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz, and an impedance of 16 ohms. It connects through Bluetooth v4.1 and has support for Apt-x technology and AAC audio for uncompromised wireless sound quality in an even higher rendition, according to the company. It delivers an 8-hour battery life and a 10-minute speed charge for a 1-hour battery supply, and they are also equipped with a 3-button universal remote and microphone. It comes in Black, Blue, Green colour options.

AKG N700NC M2

AKG N700NC M2 is a wireless headphone that features “first-class adaptive noise-cancelling technology”. It features a 90-degree rotating hinge, comes with soft ear cushions with memory foam and the adjustable headband. It comes with a frequency range of 10-20kHz, and an impedance of 16 ohms. There is support for Ambient Aware technology like other AKG products and also comes with a one-button remote. The battery on this headphone claims to provide 23 hours of playback with BT+ANC on (36 hours wired, with ANC on. It comes only in a Black colour option.

Pricing and Availability

AKG Y100 priced at Rs. 6,699, AKG N200 and AKG Y500 are priced at Rs. 9,999 each and AKG N700NC M2 at Rs. 26,999. All four models will be available through Samsung E-store, exclusive outlets and all top retailers, and they will also be available at leading online portals shortly.
