Vivo U10 Unboxing and First Impressions

Vivo launched the U10 smartphone in the new ‘U series’ in India today starting at Rs. 8990. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charge that you won’t find in the price range. Here is the first impressions of the smartphone. The phone has a 6.35-inch HD+ (1544×720 pixels) 19.3:9 aspect ratio display with 2mm ultra narrow bezels and 89% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm SoC with multi-turo tech that includes Ai Turbo and Center Turbo for improvements in app opening speed and frame stability, Ultra Game Mode, up to 4GB RAM and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with FuntouchOS 9.0.

The usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors are present on the bezel near the 8-megapixel camera. The power button and the volume rockers are present on the right. On the left there is dedicated SIM and microSD slots, arranged in a single tray. The loudspeaker grill, micro USB port, microphone and the 3.5mm audio jack are present on the bottom.

The phone has triple rear cameras with a 13-megapixel primary rear camera  with f/2.2 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP camera depth sensor for portrait shots. There is a fingerprint sensor next to it.

The phone has a plastic back with gradient finish, so it attracts fingerprints easily. It is recommended to use the bundled protective case. It packs a huge 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging that promises 4.5 hours of talk time with 10 minutes of charge. Since it has a large battery, it weighs 190 grams.

The Vivo U10 also comes in Thunder Black color, starts at Rs. 8990 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and will be available from Amazon.in and Vivo India eStore starting from September 29th.
