The OnePlus 7T Pro features the Quad HD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen that looks gorgeous. It also has a 90Hz refresh rate that offers a smooth experience compared to 60Hz in most phones, which is a treat for gamers. The company calls it a fluid AMOLED display. It has HDR10 support, Night Mode 2.0, to adjust the brightness down to 0.27 nits for better eye protection in complete darkness. There is Horizon light that lights up the edges of the display when you receive a notification.
It has a second-gen in-display fingerprint sensor that is faster. On the top, the earpiece grill doubles up as a speaker. It runs Android 10 with OxygenOS 10 with features such as screen recorder, Zen Mode, Game Space, and the company has promised India-only features such as smart SMS are coming soon. It is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset with liquid cooling, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with RAM Boost feature, and Fanatic mode that blocks all notification & calls, restrict background to boost the game and stop secondary SIM to enhance the network.
Just like the 7 Pro, it has no notch. The front has a 16-megapixel pop-up front camera. This features a Sony IMX471 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, EIS, and 1.0μm pixel size. The camera immediately slides down when the phone accidentally falls when you are taking selfies.
One the back there are cameras, 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with 7-element plastic lens with an aperture of f/1.6, OIS and EIS support, a 78 mm 8-megapixel telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture, 1μm pixel size and OIS offering 3x lossless zoom and a 16-megapixel 117° Ultra Wide Angle Lens with an aperture of f/2.2 aperture that is also capable of shooting 2.5cm macros.
OnePlus has retained the alert slider that is present on the right side. You can see the antenna bands since the phone has a metal frame. Since the pop-up camera is present on the top, only the secondary microphone is present on the top. On the bottom, there is a dual SIM slot, USB Type-C port, primary microphone, and a speaker grill, so it offers stereo audio, and also comes with Dolby Atmos. It supports UFS 3.0 storage that offers 2x faster performance compared to UFS 2.1.
It still has daily water-resistance so that the phone can withstand splashes and accidental spills, but it doesn’t have IP ratings. The back has new frosted glass finish. The battery is up from 4000mAh to 4085mAh, and similar to the OnePlus 7T, the 7T Pro has Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging (5V/6A).
It is priced at Rs. 53,999 and will be available from Amazon.in, oneplus.in, all OnePlus experience offline stores from October 12th with early access sale at 12 pm tomorrow, 11 October, 2019 at OnePlus exclusive stores across 8 cities.
