Google has announced that Sanjay Gupta will fill the position of Country Manager and Vice President, Sales and Operations for Google India. The position, previously held by Rajan Anandan, was vacant for 8 months and now will be taken up by Sanjay Gupta who joined Google from Star and Disney India.
Sanjay joins Google from Star and Disney India where he was the Managing Director. During that time, he played a pivotal role in Star becoming the largest media company in India. He is also widely credited for building their sports business via the acquisition of marquee cricketing properties and launch the Pro Kabaddi League and Indian Super League.
