Recently, the code found in the Samsung Camera app hinted at a future Galaxy smartphone with a 108MP camera and a 20:9 display. Now, the codes found in the Camera app suggest that Samsung is working on an array of new photo and video modes including a new Director’s View Mode, Single Take Photo, Night Hyperlapse, and more.
According to a report from XDA Developers, the new Director’s View Mode will let users lock onto a subject in view, change who’s in the closeup, and also tap the thumbnails on the left to switch between camera lenses, and finally tap the ones on the right to jump close-up on a subject.
The Single Take Photo mode will let users start shooting to capture the scene in a series of pictures and short videos, pan around slowly for about 15 seconds to capture multiple photos in the scene, process all the photos/videos captured, and finally show the collection. During the capture, the mode will show popups in the app like “Fantastic stuff”, “Get ready”, “Hard at work”, “This is some of my best work”, and more.
The Night Hyperlapse mode, as the name suggests will help in capturing hyperlapse with night mode. The next feature Samsung is working on is Vertical Panorama that basically lets users take a panorama vertically alongside the usual horizontal mode. Lastly, Samsung is also working on Custom Filters that will let users select a picture they like the look of from their Gallery, and then save it as a Filter.
Samsung is expected to introduce these new camera modes in their upcoming flagship smartphone, Galaxy S11 which is said to debut next year with narrower bezels than Note10, instead of the previously rumored waterfall screen design. It will be interesting to see what new will Samsung do with the Galaxy S11 next year.
