Update: New render of the OnePlus 8 Lite has surfaced showing off triple rear cameras, compared to dual cameras in earlier render. The dummy unit of the phone is revealed in China in an interaction with the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau.
Earlier: OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro as an upgrade to OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. The leaks and renders of the upcoming OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have surfaced already and according to the latest report, OnePlus could be working on an affordable version of OnePlus 8 and it could be called OnePlus 8 Lite.
According to the renders, OnePlus 8 Lite is said to be a mid-range smartphone with a flat display with a noticeable chin at the bottom and curved rear glass. Unlike the 7 Pro/7T Pro models, this device will not sport a curved display and the display size, and the resolution is not known yet. The renders also reveal the alert slider and power button to the right, volume rockers to the left, USB Type-C port, and the speaker grille.
Regarding the optics, the renders reveal a dual-camera setup housed in a rectangular camera module and according to the images, OnePlus 8 Lite could also feature laser auto focus and a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor. However, the resolution of the cameras is not known yet. Similar to Samsung Galaxy Note10/Note10+, OnePlus 8 Lite is also said to sport a centered in-screen camera. Furthermore, it is said to measure 159.2 x 74 x 8.6 mm in size.
Other specifications of the device are not known yet, and it should be interesting to see what OnePlus will offer with the OnePlus 8 Lite after the company discontinued the mid-range OnePlus X smartphone. We should get more information in the coming days.
