Reliance Jio users can still recharge old plans — Here’s How [Update: Old Tariff Protection plans removed]

Reliance Jio introducedNew All-in-one plans‘ with revised pricing along with JioPrime benefits with Fair Usage Policy on unlimited calling from Jio to other networks. Later it revised the plans with up to 40% higher tariff that came into effect 6th December 2019. It also urged users to recharge before the date. Thanks to TRAI’s tariff protection, which mandes all telecom operators to make any plan available for a minimum of six months, you can recharge smartphone plans for 6 more months, and all-in-one plans till April 2020.

How to recharge old Jio plans?

  1. Go to Jio.com and login using the mobile number and OTP
  2. Click the setting gear box on the top.
  3. Click on the tariff protection tab and choose smartphone plans where all the plans are listed

You can access the tariff protection option only if there are no active plans, otherwise it says the page is only for those who have no active plan.

[Update: Jio has removed the tariff protection option from the website, so you can’t recharge old plans anymore]
