Airtel launched 4G services back in 2012 in India and has been expanding the coverage across the country. The company is also expanding its services in remote villages gradually and on similar lines now, Airtel has launched 4G and 2G services in 26 villages in Ladakh and becomes the first operator to bring high-speed internet to these villages.

To recall, Airtel was the first operator to launch 4G services in Ladakh’s Leh, Kargil and Dras in Dec 2017, as a part of its Project Leap initiative. In related news, Airtel has been introducing new technologies to strengthen its 4G network indoors and outdoors like LTE 900 technology across various cities, WiFi calling, etc.
