realme launched the realme 2 Pro smartphone in India running ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and updated it to Android 9.0 (Pie) based ColorOS 6 back in June 2019. The device has received Android 10 based realme UI 1.0.
realme UI brings new features such as dual earphone connection, animated wallpapers, screen-off display, customizable icon shape, new charging animation, realme Share (cross-brand file-sharing technology) and more. - [Oct 23, 2020]: realme has started rolling out RMX1801EX_11_F.12 with October Android security patch. The OTA update weighs 474MBs in size and brings Smooth scrolling and super nighttime standby features to the device, both of which can be found under realme Lab section. The update brings Soloop video editing app and adds a quick settings shortcut for the focus mode. F.12 update also brings schedule time feature for eye comfort, a toggle in the screenshot settings to turn on/off functionality for taking a screenshot via power+volume down button, a toggle for display keyboard when entering app drawer, and settings for default audio input devices. - [May 20, 2020]: realme has announced Android 10 based realme UI early access ahead of stable roll out in June. Users can apply for the early access version in the Software Update interface from Settings → Software Update → Tap on the settings icon on the top right corner → Trial version → Submit details and Apply now.
