Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone in India last week. The Galaxy S10 Lite is the company’s first mid-range smartphone with flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC and Super Steady OIS feature to launch in India. Here we have the first impressions of the smartphone. The phone sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display with 394ppi pixel density. Thanks to minimal bezels, the display look gorgeous. It has an ergonomic design with thin and light display panel by adopting flexible OLED technology, says Samsung. Powered by Snapdragon 855 it packs 8GB of RAM and runs Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 on top. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, faetures NFC and full Samsung Pay support.
The phone has a very small punch-hole that house a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
On the left side of the phone there is a hybrid SIM slot that accepts two nano SIMs or a nano SIM and a microSD. The volume rockers and the power button are present on the right side. The secondary microphone is present on the top. On the bottom there is a USB Type-C port, primary microphone and a loudspeaker grill. It has a metal frame, so you can see the antenna cutouts. The phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack, which the Galaxy Note10 Lite has.
It packs a 48-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture and Super Steady Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which is gimbal-like hardware that tilts the camera unit to ensure blur free action-focused photos and videos. There is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel macro camera with f/2.0 aperture to capture 4cm macro shots. The Super Steady OIS adds UHD quality to your videos even in low-light conditions, according to Samsung. In addition, it features Zoom-in Mic, which features three microphones to effectively target and enhance the sound in real time. This was introduced in the Galaxy Note10 smartphone.
Unlike the Glass back on the S10, the Lite version has a 3D Glasstic design. It packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 25w fast charging.
In addition to Blue, the phone also comes in Prism White and Prism Black colors and is available for pre-order from Flipkart, Samsung India website and offline stores at Rs. 39,999 and will be available from February 4th. Full review will be up soon.
