OPPO is testing 5G on Find X2 at Hyderabad R&D facility ahead of India launch

OPPO’s upcoming smartphone Find X2 series has been in the limelight for quite some time now. If you are unaware, the company had planned the launch at MWC 2020 in Barcelona, but following the conference’s cancellation due to the Corona outbreak, the date has been postponed to March 6th.

Back in 2018, OPPO launched its ambitious Find X with a motorised module equipping a selfie camera to avoid display notch. In the latest development, the OPPO India has tested 5G internally at their Hyderabad R&D center by conducting various drills, including Whatsapp video call, cloud gaming, movies download, and more on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.

It’s worth mentioning that Tasleem Arif, VP & Head India R&D, OPPO, has tweeted on his official account showcasing 5G sign on the top right of the device.

Moving on, OPPO has confirmed that the phone will feature 6.78-inch (3168 x 1440 pixels) 3K OLED 513PPI screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

In the camera department, the OPPO Find X2 will feature a punch-hole front camera. For the rear camera, OPPO will use Sony’s new 48MP IMX689 sensor with the all Pixel Omni-directional PDAF technology, which will improve the focusing speed. Furthermore, charging will also be one of its fastest with a 65W wired charger, same as Reno Ace. Rumors say that it will pack a 4065mAh battery as well.

Commenting on this,  Tasleem Arif, VP — R&D, OPPO India said:
