Samsung Galaxy Note20+ could be powered by Snapdragon 865+ clocked up to 3.09GHz


Samsung’s latest Galaxy S20 series is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 in select countries, now the Galaxy Note20+ with the model number SM-N986U has surfaced in Geekbench listing revealing Snapdragon 865+ processor with clock speeds up to 3.09GHz.

It also reveals Android 10 and 8GB of RAM. According to leakster who goes by the name Ice universe, the Snapdragon 865+ is slightly overclocked processor compared to the Snapdragon 865 with prime core is clocked at 3.09GHz compared to 2.84GHz in the 865. The 3 bigger cores are said to be clocked at 2.4 GHz and the other four smaller cores at 1.8GHz, same as the Snapdragon 865.

The Snapdragon 865+ should be a minor upgrade to the 865, same as the minor upgrade from 855 to 855+. We can expect the 865+ to be introduced some time in early Q3 since the 855+ was introduced around the same time along with the ASUS ROG Phone II. Can we expect the ASUS ROG Phone III to be introduced this time? We will have to wait and see.
