HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 1 Plus Android Go Edition phone smartphone, which makes it the 14th Nokia phone to get the update after the Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 2.3 and Nokia 6.2. The phone was introduced at the MWC last year in India last year running Android Pie (Go Edition). This latest update brings a number of additional privacy and security features for users, as well as Dark Theme, Focus mode, dedicated ‘Privacy section’, and more.
The update brings the April 2020 Security Patch alongside new Android 10 features. It is being rolled out in batches in several counties including Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, UAE, Yemen.
10% of all these approved markets will receive the update first, 50% by May 2nd and on May 4th, 100% of these approved markets will have received Android 10. The batch 2 rollout is expected to be started soon as well.
